Poetry Recitation Competition 2017
1st of August 2017,
We are very honored to be the host for this big event. The Poetry Recitation Competition 2017 (District Level) was held at Auditorium Petra, SMK Rantau Petronas.
Registration started at 8:00 am and 15 schools are registered to compete. After the arrival of the VIPs, guests and judges, we continued to our next agenda, which is singing our National Anthem, followed by prayers recitation. Next, we continued with the speech from the head judge, Mohd Firdaus B Hamidi.
Right after the wonderful speech, we invited our Principal, En. Wan Salleh Wan Ismail to deliver his speech to the competitors and judges.
The competition started at 9:00, all of the schools performed wonderfully. There are 2 sessions, one of them is the prepared section and followed by the impromptu. Here are some photos of the students performing their wonderful poems.
After the assessment from the respective judges, the top five winners has been selected. The results are the following:
1st Place : Tesmal
1st Runner Up : Petranian
2nd Runner Up: SID
4th Place : SMC
5th Place : Seri Bandi
We ended our event with a photography session so that each and everybody can keep it as a sweet memory.
We would like to congratulate every participant, judges, teachers and every involving bodies for making this event possible and done smoothly without hassle. We hope that event like this will be held every year so we can find the talents from the student that might shine to a higher level.
